ENGINEER FAZEL AHMED AFGHAN.
Mr. Afghan, son of Mr. Abdul Satar Khan Durani, born in 1937 in the town of Salihan. Salihan is located in the  District t of  Panjwayee in the Province of Kandahar in  Afghanistan. Ahmed Afghan completed his primary and secondary education at  Habibia high school and at the Afghan Technical Institute of Kabul in 1960.

He received his Bachelor degree from the  Faculty of Engineering  at Kabul University in 1964. In 1972, he received his Master degree in structural Engineering from University of Manitoba in Canada.

Mr. Afghan has served in a variety of positions within the construction division of  the Afghan Ministry of Education. His primary duties included being  in charge of building schools across the country. He served as President of Construction and then the General President of  the Construction Unit  at the Ministry of Education in  Kabul.

Mr. Afghan has been the project coordinator for school buildings projects financed by UNESCO, UNISEF, WFP, World Bank, US AID, in Ministry of Education. Kabul.

Mr. Afghan was appointed  as Consul General of Afghanistan in Bombay, India and served from 1981-1985. 

Whilst living in India he continued his work and goal of establishing peace in his motherland Afghanistan. Since Sept 1987 he, and his family, have settled in Vancouver, Canada where he continues to work toward his dear and critical goal.

Mr. Afghan’s literary work:

1. Master degree Thesis: “A one –quarter scale experimental study of the effect of peripheral reinforcement in a concrete hollow- block shear wall”, April, 1972.

2. Educational building report for UNESCO: “ Innovation in the management of primary school construction in Afghanistan”
3. A book: “ My cries and appeals to the world leaders to bring peace in beloved motherland Afghanistan,” 1985.
4. A documented and pictorial history book: “Afghanistan from Heaven to hell  -1700- 2001”
5.  More then hundred Letters to the world leaders as well as Political, Social and cultural articles and proposals for bringing peace to Afghanistan and unity among all his Afghan brothers and sisters.
6. Presently working on four other books with expected release to be in early 2011.

Mr. Afghan has a wife, three daughters and a son. He is always proud of his family.

انجینیر فضل احمد افغان. شاغلی افغان فرزند مرحوم عبدالستارخان درانی در سال 1937م در صالحان ولسوالی پنجوائی ولایت قندهار بدنیا آمده تعلیمات ابتدائی و متوسط را در لیسه حبیبیه و ثانوی را در لیسه تخنیک ثانوی کابل انجام داده است.

لیسانس انجنیری اش را در سال 1963م از پوهنځی انجینری پوهنتون کابل بدست آورده است. در سال 1972م دیپلوم ماستری خود را در شق انجینری ساختمان از کشور کانادا گرفته است. شاغلی افغان از سال 1964م تا 1981م در پست های مختلف در ریاست تعمیرات وزارت تعلیم و تربیه خدمت نموده است. آخرین وظیفه اش در داخل افغانستان رئیس عمومی دستکاه ساختمانی وزارت تعلیم و تربیه بوده.

از سال 1981م تا 1985م بحیث جنرال قنسل افغانستان در بمبئی هند اجرای وظیفه کرده است. از تآلیفات ایشان برعلاوۀ تیزسس ماستری میتوان از رساله های "نوآوری در سیستم اداری ساختمان مکاتب برای یونسکو در 1978م قبل از27 اپریل " و ناله ها و فریادها به رهبران جهان به زبان انگلیسی در سال 1984م" و از کتاب " افغانستان از ثریا به قهقرا " که بیانگر واقعات و حوادث مستند و مصور تاریخی سال های 1700م تا 2001م است و جوایز مطبوعاتی مرحوم کریم نزیهی و مرحوم استاد عبدالعلی مستغنی را از طرف بنیاد ژورنالستان آریانا افغانستان در سال 2004م اخذ نموده است یاد آورگردید.

شاغلی انجنیر افغان در سال 1985م وظیفه رسمی جنرال قونسلگری را ترک و به کشور کانادا پناهنده شده است و تا امروز به نوشتن مقالات سیاسی- اجتماعی و فرهنگی اشغال دارد. صص
